For students who want to expand their knowledge of the world through the window of photography, or for photographers who want to multiply their own skills with my guidance, I offer various workshops and educational opportunities throughout the year.
Occasionally I need assistants for specific project work or general studio management tasks. Specialty skills which I like to see in potential candidates are mastery of multiple languages, understanding of journalistic ethics, and proficiency with photo and video editing software. If you would like to be considered for future assistant opportunities, please send a CV, letter of motivation and website to me. I'll keep all top-level candidates on file.
Internship opportunities for college students and graduates are occasionally available. Interns should be prepared to serve part-time for three to five months. Candidates will be selected by their organizational skills and proficiency in editing software. Interns will gain skills in research, project management, and editing.
Each year, I devote time to educational outreach. I've been invited to speak to a huge range of students, from academics in elite universities to teens in underprivileged neighborhoods. Powerful images can ignite curiosity in classrooms, and open minds to new debates.
